Pitch it here on Yakezie. There are other sites which list freelance job such as problogger. Additionally, keep active in social media and commenting on forums to build your online presence. I get requests for publishers to write for them and also hire freelancers. Aggressively market yourself.

That's right, I'm trying to start up a freelancing gig. :) My question for those experienced in freelancing is this: how did you land your first job? Are you actively pitching people to hire you, or do most of the opportunities come from people finding you? Also, if you feel like sharing any other tips for a newbie freelancer, please do so!
