I think bankrate and linkoffers merged with the credit card offers.

I was having the same problem with long wait times on linkoffers & I finally had about a 30 minute call with my affiliate manager there. What he told me is that unless you can drive a huge amount of conversions to the credit card companies they'll just leave you pending for all eternity. There are a couple of card that seem to be really easy to get approved for (Discover It & a Barclays Travel card) but with any of the other major ones it's going to be super tough to get approved.

Well it sounds like I am setting my sights high with LinkOffers. What would be an alternative way to become an affiliate advertiser of credit cards?

Try Bankrate, they have an affiliate program as well.

Also, don't be afraid to start writing content around credit cards without an affiliate program. Then use Google Adsense where you would normally use a banner. The dollars per click are higher and as you build traffic to the post you can quickly switch out to affiliate offers once you are approved.

It took me 2-3 weeks just to hear back on the fact that I had been approved to be a member of the Link Offers site at all. I put in an app to several advertisers a week or two ago and it's been radio silence since then. At least now I know it's not just me :-)

I think the general rule for LinkOffers is to be somewhat hands off. Sometimes that can be challenging - especially if the updates are delayed for any reasons. In my experience applying to the elite programs (i.e., credit card issuers), your mileage will vary greatly. Likely, there's a tremendous backlog and waitlist for elite websites looking to host issuers like Chase, Amex, etc. You will probably be put in a queue, and unless you suddenly become the next Wisebread... Well, point is you may be there forever.

Just my two cents,

I've noticed this too with LinkOffers. I apply for a program and dead silence. I submit a ticket to support and nothing. I email the general contact email just to figure out who my account manager is hoping to at least get a response, and I get nothing. I was getting concerned it was just me! I'm going to try to reach out again and hopefully I'll get a response!

It took a long time for me to hear anything from them, too. After I emailed, though, I got a reply from someone who told me that the advertisers needed more information and gave me a number to call. I got in touch with her and she approved me for a few programs.

It really depends on the card. I have been in the pending status with a few cards for over a year. Others are quicker. Don't expect much response from LinkOffers, they don't have the greatest response times.

Hi all, I'm just wondering what other's experience has been with getting approved by companies on LinkOffers. I applied in mid-January for some of the credit cards that I use hoping to put some affiliate links on my site but it's been nothing but dead silence since then. I emailed and asked about the usual time frame for approval and have not even had a response to that. How long does approval take? I also imagine there may be a good chance I'm not approved since I might not have the volume of traffic they are looking for.

I appreciate any info/feedback. Thanks!
