Yakezie.com - Topic: bezinga ??? and syndication https://yakezie.com/forums/bloggers-lair/bezinga-and-syndication/ Simple:Press Version 4.5.1 Shannyn @FrugalBeautiful.com on bezinga ??? and syndication https://yakezie.com/forums/bloggers-lair/bezinga-and-syndication/page-3/#p42596 Bloggers Lair https://yakezie.com/forums/bloggers-lair/bezinga-and-syndication/page-3/#p42596 Ha..ya, I got an email from them too.  I responded back a few days ago with questions since I was pretty positive (before even reading this thread) they contacted everyone who was nominated for a Plutus and I wanted to know if they were actually serious since I wasn't sure how my blog/brand would fit into their site AT ALL.   I don't write about trends, stocks or heavy investing.  I was kind of annoyed that they would even pitch an offer that would be silly to accept even if I was interested since my content doesn't at all fit in with what they provide.   

 

I think had they taken ONE look at my site they'd see that it wasn't even remotely in the same genre..yes, I'm a PF blogger, but my audience and my tactics are not even close to theirs.  *facepalm*  I don't want to work with a company that obviously spams but pretends to be legit.  I hope if anyone else works with this site they have a better experience and wish you the best!

 

I'm such a newb to getting offers like this, and it seems this week I got several "opportunities" pitched that were just no bueno.  "Oh you mean, you won't charge ME to put a sponsored post for YOUR client with some content around it on my blog?  Gee golly gosh, I'll take a hit in page rank for that great offer! How generous you offered!  Derp!"   I'm hoping it gets better than this because I'm slightly agitated at the sheer number of emails I got like this in just one week..  *le sigh*

I house their widget on my site. I did not syndicate my content since with round ups etc. some of the content just isn't right for syndication. I write for them regularly and get a tiny $ for it. I do it mainly for the link back and notoriety. I am a fan and like working with them. I would consider their affiliate program but right now I don't have the time to work on that part of my site. I expect in the future I will become and affiliate.

    I could integrate your RSS feed into the main page of Benzinga's
    website. This will increase traffic to your page and allow you to have
    an author page on Benzinga's website. 
  • If you're interested in contributing specific content to
    Benzinga, you could also send over the content you see fit and I would
    be able to post it on our website. 
  • Finally, Benzinga
    has just started an affiliate program that will allow you to
    advertise/recommend our products and you would gain 35% of the profit.

I know this isn't for me and responded:
The first two options are not appealing at all, and exactly what I am
not interested in (i.e. providing content for free or trading content
for free).  I receive anywhere from $150 to $200 per sponsored post on
my site, I just can't fathom just providing a spot for Benzinga for
free/my content on your site.

The third option could be appealing, however, currently not
interested in signing up for another affiliate network.  If the products
were through flexoffers for example I may have been interested.

route with advertising please do not hesitate to contact me.

If this sort of set up appeals to you I would contact Benzinga.
