In the future, I want to host exclusive giveaways on my Facebook fan page and I was thinking I could offer lower value items than what I would on my blog. Books are a great idea. And I never considered contacting the author/publisher for a freebie. To ease the time burden, I think it's best to start with books I've already read.

I gave away an iPod Nano last year ($49) and it attracted over 2,000 entries. It nearly paid for itself in new subscribers, etc...

I have done quite a few giveaways on my blog. Many I was contacted for, others I jus contact companies I wanted to work with and most were super keen to be involved.

I have just started doing the swag bucks thing and will be using my points to do Amazon giftcard giveaways too. I am amazed how quick it all adds up.

Try contacting smaller businesses too, many work from home moms would love the opportunity to get their business out there.
