I may be out of the game for personal finance, but my food blog is still going strong and I'm applying the lessons I learned from Yakezie to make it more successful. One thing I'm starting up is a monthly blog swap. if you share recipes on your site (I know more than a few of you do), then participating in in this recipe swap is a good way of getting a backlink from a completely new site and exposing your site to a new audience who probably would have never found it on their own.

This one operates a bit different than you may be used to, so it might be a good idea to read this post on how it's organized first: Food Blog Swap Meet. Then signups are on this Google Docs spreadsheet: http://bit.ly/1euPH01
