I too want to reward good comments. I am pretty loose with this, so long as it's not spam.

They developer just sent out an email apologizing for breaking blogs and released a new update. Maybe you can try it out again if you really wanted to keep it.

I would have no problem with commenter sticking appropriate links to a post inside a comment.

Ive used commentluv since I began with the Yakezie, at the time most members were suggesting I use this plugin so I could generate more traffic and comments. I would say that it definitely helped in the beginning, and who knows, maybe it still does now.

I wonder if the dofollow links from commentluv could possibly hurt my Google PR...any thoughts?

My PR recently dropped, so I have made my Comment Luv and Sidebar links No Follow. Hopefully that will boost me back up!

I haven't used CommentLuv before, but it's a neat feature. Seems like fewer blogs are using it these days but that might be b/c of bugs from a few months ago, not sure. I seem to remember reading about that.

Anywho, I checked out your site and followed you on Twitter. :) I like the countdown to retirement on your homepage, that's sweet!!

Hello Yakezies,

When I decided to join Yakezie, I did it to try to increase traffic to encourage good discussions on my posts via the comments. So far, it's been a great success. I don't have a ton of readers but the list is growing, and there's been a few who have really added value with great questions, contrarian views, suggestions, and sharing their own stories.

To reward these types of comments, I'm trying an experiment for the next few weeks. I've turned on CommentLuv with DoFollow, meaning the links will provide link juice to your site. My plan is to keep the CommentLuv on just the best comments, the ones that add value. So if that interests you, come on by and join the conversation.

This doesn't mean I'll delete other comments, I'll just remove the CommentLuv. Your comment and NoFollow link will remain. Please don't be offended if I remove the CommentLuv on your comment, I appreciate all comments, I just wanted to provide extra reward the thought-provoking ones.

This is an experiment, if it becomes too much to manage I will end it after a few weeks.
