Massive amount of impressions on Google, you mean?

If so, play around with the title of the post--numbers work well in getting people to click through.

In addition to playing around with the title of the post. Try using long-tail keywords such as "Who is Dave Ramsey" or "How to find cheap cars." They tend to be more targeted to the audience that searches for them :). A good way to find these long-tail keywords are

Yahoo! Answers and Quora (I absolutely love Quora, but that's another story).

If you mean Adsense ads. Try to make sure that they're not all over the sidebar and banner. It's good to try to "blend" the Adsense ads. Check these examples: http://www.youthedesigner.com/.....se-design/

and http://www.wmtips.com/adsense/.....ng-ads.htm

Let me know how it goes!

Im definitely getting away from CPM type ads, and moving over to direct advertising. Eventually as my traffic grows i will have to re-evaluate everything, but direct is definitely bringing me in more revenue at this point.

People are pretty good at just ignoring ads, for the most part. Personally, I'd like to switch from adsense to direct ads as soon as I can, since I think those ads would be mroe relevant to my readers anyway.

Check the keywords instead that are coming in from Google Analytics and try inserting an affiliate ad in the post. I find that those are generally more targeted if I add them myself than the google ads that get generated.

I was looking at my webmaster tool keywords from webmaster and I have a couple of keywords that generate a huge amount of impression but not a lot of click. I am in the process of writing another article to help generate clicks but I am curious if anyone had a trick to increase the conversion?
