I want to use these quotes on a different site for a post but am unsure of the common practices for such things.

I will link to the commentators site and give them credit, but was wondering if I should email them? Bloggers get plenty of emails and I don't want to bombard these fellow bloggers with an unnecessary request.

If it was for the site that they had commented on I wouldn't have asked, but because it's a different site I don't want to automatically assume that it's okay.

So, should I email them? Or just link to their site for credit?
