Nice! I will get that script from you, but since I'm at like 8 subscribers, I won't be needing it for a while. I WILL hit you up when I'm over 100, though.

Well, we are certainly 2 legit 2 quit...but we still aren't publishing our number yet;)

Let's face it, by the time most get to that 1,928 number, the blogger already has their 'favorites', their 'friends' and their dedicated 'followers'.  Flip that around and take the opportunity to build those things for your blog from the ground up.

I'm not saying this as a way to encourage you to publish a low number, but kind of tying it into what I'm reading here where it seems that people believe that people won't want to read a blog if you don't have a bunch of readers already established.  That's not always the case, and I'd encourage you not to just skip over the part where you build your base from scratch.  It can be a really cool time.

I personally would wait. While there is nothing to be ashamed of, you need to convince people that it's worth subscribing to. Showing 4 current subscribers isn't going to display a lot of confidence in your readers.

 

Going off of one thing from FinCon, don't forget that your readers aren't other PF bloggers. Well, as many of us know, it's a part of them, but that shouldn't be our focus.

I put mine up at 48.  Why not, embrace it right?

 

One trick with mine... I too hate the 'weekend effect', so I wrote code to grab the last 7 days, average them, and put up that number.  If you want to mess with php, let me know and I'll mail it to you.

I'll let you know. I like that idea, so it doesn't fluctuate so much!
