We are thinking of getting to Chicago a couple of days early with my husband returning on the day the conference starts. So I will be looking for a roommate as well and I know KayLynn would be too.

When I said that it's actually mostly guys who write personal finance blogs, and there are likely to be far fewer women, he said, "okay, well have a fun personal-finance-geek weekend then." Ha! He's clearly staying home. 

Once a hotel is chosen, should there be a thread here or spreadsheet for hotel room sharing? I'm sure I'm not the only one looking to save some cash on this adventure. :)

I'm in, and I'm ready to start planning, but a location needs to be decided before I get a hotel room. I'm trying to avoid renting a car so I vote for something near public transit!
