The header image is just a hair too big IMHO. The smaller (shorter) you can get away with, the more of your content shows up above the fold.

I visit our group 1 members a number of times in a day. I witnessed the changes when it was happening at your site. I thought of letting you know that something is not right, but again a couple of hours later I saw some other problem.

i realized you were doing a redesign, finally in the night I saw your 'new-look' blog. It's looking a lot better.

I am trying to get a designer for my site, who can do it for free in exchange of some promotion. (another frugal idea to post ).

Sorry for being unclear. A bunch of Yakezie blogs did redesigns and they contracted it out to a fellow blogger named Peter I believe. There are a few of them around, but SPF's and RB40's blogs were the most recent ones. I think Money Is The Root also did it, too.

Nice clean look and I'm a fan of two columns as well. Cool favicon. However, I may be getting spoiled by the Peter look. Check out Sustainable Personal Finance and Retire By 40. But I do believe they contracted out the work.

I like clean, plain backgrounds so it totally works for me. I white helps the images pop and that also helps attract the eye to the image ads, so that could be a bonus as time goes on!

I like it. It is a nice and clean look, I especially like the footer. I am not too keen on the background to your logo, not sure why really maybe the blurring, but apart from that it looks really nice

You know, I was there earlier today reading your post and didn't even notice the changes! Went back for another look and I really like it. It's so hard to include all the various sidebar items, subscription stuff, and links without clutter, but you've done it well.
