Truthfully, I think the days of the PR bar are probably numbered.  Google and its quality team have referenced it less, and even backlinks are becoming a less integral part of getting good positions in the SERPs.  I have a site that's PR5, and it's no better as a PR5 than it was as a PR3 or a PR6.  Linksales aside, having quality links that get you PR are more important than having a good PR.  

 

Waste your worries on something you can control.  Google's a finicky little thing. Wink

There are some advertisers that still focus on it, but I've still done pretty well for myself lately, so it doesn't seem like it makes that much difference. With that being said..... Just keep linking to others, getting links back to you and writing great content and they'll assign you a rank eventually.

For the record, we started our site late Nov 2010 and still don't have a PR.
