You need to submit a change of address with Google and they will transfer your PR over, but the links do not transfer. So I spent the first month working on changing old links that I had access to and asking fellow bloggers to update. I also did a lot of work backlinking through comments, guest posts and such. Alexa starts fresh but apparently moz and PR move with the new URL. I do have to make sure I keep up the effort for the next PR update though so I don't lose anything.

I do have to admit that one of the posts that I actually did keyword research for is still a top search hit. So I would say each post takes me about 30 minutes to an hour to write, SEO and link internally.

Except for Alexa which is hovering somewhere around 207k, I have all of my previous rankings and metrics that used to be attached to my old URL!
