Also, I found a site that asked a bunch of questions and helped generate the text, and then I added my $.02 at the end of each paragraph.

It didn't take long to get those generated for me, so maybe check out her post and click on the links to the automatic generator things. It's pretty awesome.

I may or may not, but definitely already have visited every website I could think of, copied and pasted all their disclaimers onto a single document, printed that document out, and picked out good parts that I liked. So, I think I'll probably do a hybrid of mailing owners and making my own via Lena's ideas and recommendations.

Disclosure policy on lenagott.com - only covers affiliates since I don't really offer financial advice on this blog

Disclosure policy on WhatMommyDoes - tried to cover it all formally and informally and added a financial advice caveat

Taxes and Stuff - Because I am a CPA, I felt I had to be crystal clear on this one, so I first included a note at the bottom of my bio AND also have a separate disclaimers page regarding affiliate relationships and tax advice.

What I did was read the disclaimers of a bunch of sites.  Found some thorough and boring ones then emailed the site owners if they minded if I copied it.  All 3 said sure, and noted they had copied the wording themselves.
