Advertisers will always use the metric that will give them the best rates... it only makes sense for them. But, you just have to stand firm. Yes, there is a free option (or at least used to be, I will check now and post it here) and some months it is still off but not more than +/- 20% usually.

Rather, they're looking to get what they want at as little cost to them as possible. 

 

Whatever stats can support paying you as little as possible are the ones that might be referenced. On the other hand, you can reference your stats that substantiate paying you as much as possible. Seems like that's the way to deal with such folks in business.

 

It's much better and more fun working with those who get the win-win concept. In my advertising page I state that same thing, that Squirrelers believes in a win-win. Some play ball, some don't!

Consider yourself lucky, in a way.  Their system is a joke/mess.  I tried to get them to DROP us and they declined repeatedly.
