I'm with Retire by 40 - my latest blogs, I've hired people to write on them. Be sure to optimize each and every post, add meta descriptions. Start off with a solid, recognizable logo that you can carry with you - I for some reason keep forgetting to do that. IT's a pain to transition later. 

 

Also, ask for help! Reach out to guest post, etc. We're all pretty keen on helping new blogs do well :)
