I'd recommend heading over to Themeforest - it's a collection of themes from various freelancers instead of one developer making them all. I'm using the Deadline theme designed by Awesem, but Bangkok Press or SuperSkeleton also made my shortlist of simple, clean designs with plenty of room for content.

I don't want to have to code (or hire a coder) so I research themes that matched my requirements. I have just settled on theme-junkie (shameless affiliate Cool) as of today. Two bloggers I know use it and their sites are great. Headway was a close second and I was quite intrigued by the Woo Themes.

What mattered to me was the theme layout for maximizing spaces while supporting Ads and social icons out of the box without much work. I am moving from a Athaualpa (free) and hope the transition will be smooth. It's the first time I will do a theme switch.
