Thanks. I know DA/PA are supposed to be more accurate, but while they have been dipping, traffic, and especially search traffic, has increased since the previous month.

I haven't even checked for mine. As has been said, I think DA and PA are based on a number of factors (MozRank being one of them), so it could be that some other metrics either went down, or they changed how much weight each metric receives.

I've had my MozRank go +0.08 and my DA and PR go down 3 points each at certain points. More often than not, for me anyways, they move in sync, but there's no hard and fast rule. I track the values on a regular basis so I can see how they trend over time. I've noticed that all three values change regularly but are somewhat in a range.

Here's a video that can explain it all... It's been a while since I have watched it, but I think DA and PA are actually more accurate than Mozrank...

IMHO, there are two things to remember:

-The equations that calculate these numbers are constantly changing, so if you are not getting lots of links to your site, it's definitely possible for numbers to go down.

-These numbers don't mean that much. Focus instead on traffic, loyal readers, and perhaps even income. These are more important things to obsess over.

Again, in my humble opinion.

As far as I understand, DA and PA represent how strong a site or specific page will rank in search engines. On the other hand, Moz Rank represent the number of incoming links to a site.

I just did my monthly ritual of updating the metrics to my two blogs. In both cases, mozRank was up (in the case of EA, half a point, just below a 5. IYCRYCC a more modest .15 gain to 4.68) but Domain Authority and Page Authority were down an average of 3 points.

I'm a little confused because I thought DA & PA were based off of mozRank. Anyone else experience this?
