I also noticed it's allowing you not to focus on writing and writing and writing blog posts so frequently. 

Am I correct that you can cut back a bit on the push to create posts so frequently?

Barbara, that is exactly right.  I'm currently cutting down on my posting frequency to publish much longer posts and spend more time promoting them.  The Derek Halpern approach.  :)

Plus, I got tired of publishing "OK" stuff.  Now that I have more time to think about a post, I can think of other ways to improve it. 

Also, I'm getting ready to launch my podcast that I'll try to do weekly which will be another blog post each week. 

Wow, way to make a first impression! I'll echo Joe, the quick and easy sections for guiding people to relevant content is awesome, and sure to get people digging into your archives of great articles. Also, I love how the signup sheet is not intrusive, but it seems to be everywhere you go. Kinda like a good friend patting you on the back saying "Hey man, I know you'd benefit from this, just give it a shot and let me know if it doesn't change your life."

 

I would say more important than the search bar is that you are guiding people where you want them to go. All your best stuff is only one or two clicks away. Search is a last resort for people, but if you show them exactly where they want to go, there's no need for it!

 

All that to say, well done, you've obviously put a lot of time and effort into this. My only question is; what is your goal with this site? Based on it's current state, it seems your goal is to get people money help quickly and easily through all stages of life, and to have them signup for your newsletter to stay up to date. Does that sound about right?
