Thanks for your thoughts. The stats from Aweber have been telling me otherwise. My CPC ads have also told me otherwise. Anything in my content performs much better than on the sidebar.

That's why my newsletter subscription has been moving down on the sidebar.

I agree that when dealing with advertisers independently that the top sidebar is a premium spot but then again for anyone doing CPC, I am curious if it is.

Currently, my best subscription spots are from the post and the popup.

As for FinancialAds, it's just about Canadian traffic. Feel free to reach out to the owner if you want to try but you need a fair amount of Canadian traffic.

The top right hand corner is the top spot to get people to interact with your blog

Its also the spot for which advertisers pay top dollar.

So its your choice whether you want to put ads up there or the subscription widget.

BTW I see you have ads by FinancialAds.ca on your blog.Might you know of any other similar service which might accept an Indian blog with a 50:50 split of Indian and International traffic?

Hi,

I am in the process or redesigning the layout and I am seriously considering dropping my subscription from the sidebar. It under-performs the post and popup by quite a large margin.

What do everyone else see? do you only use your sidebar?
