As some as you may know, I've been sick for quite a while.  While I'm still not 100%, I'll work on coding that piece of the site soon.  It's been on my radar for quite some time, and I've just been waiting until I feel better.  It's been too long though, so I'll plod through it anyway.

 

I'll keep it simple and just send the host a list of emails that were submitted to that particular weeks carnival.  The host can then do as they wish with that list.

 

I'll admit, I was kind of hesitant in doing this since there is the potential for our emails to be sold or put on spam lists.  But since other carnivals do this already, I guess the point is moot.

I'm on my 4th year of using Blogger, so I know your pain! I have Google Alerts set up for when my name, my blog's name, or my blog's url is mentioned online, but it only works when older sites (4-5 years old or more) link to, not for blog carnivals etc. 

You can get some sort of idea by seeing your traffic sources on Google Analytics from referring sites. That helps me a lot of the time too!

I don't know if all the pingbacks are coming through, but I can tell you that most of the time I don't get Google alerts when I'm mentioned even when I do get a pingback. I used to get alerts for everything.
