Don't underestimate your relationship with this reporter; I have taped about 8 news segments now with a reporter who initially contacted me and reads my blog for ideas. Whenever she likes a post, she emails me and we tape a segment--pretty neat! Actually....news to come on this soon;).

No...I wasn't given any makeup or prepping. Hopefully, I'm not too shiny. :) I don't have a very big apartment, so the equipment took up most of the room. They "lit" my living room up with spotlights, hooked me up to a mic, and started firing away with questions. After the interview, they spent about 20 minutes taking footage of me working on the blog, responding to comments, etc.

I also mentioned some of my other weird ways to make extra money, including my work as an age auditor at liquor stores. The cameraman happened to see my stash of 100+ free bottles of wine in the kitchen and took some footage. I'm crossing my fingers that they don't use that, otherwise my grandparents might see it and think I'm some sort of lush. Haha!

I know that an hour long interview will probably get cut to a few seconds "on air". But I won't really know much more until I see it. As long as they mention my blog a dozen times, I'll be happy. :)
