Take some time to see how you can keep growing your blog while spending less time on it.

Just a tip: allocate 2 hours per week: one time slot of 2 hours. Use those hours to write 2 posts.

Plus spend 10 minutes a day at a fixed time each day to comment on some other blogs.

Stick to these times. Do this and your blog will still grow.

Success.

I'm not giving up my blog -- I'm just scaling back to more of a hobby level instead of a side hustle. I have a lot more fun when I don't take myself so seriously :).

The recent PR updates will affect me a lot. My PR didn't take a hit, but it's only a matter of time. I have quite a bit of text links in my sidebars, as that's my main source of revenue. I plan to phase those out.

I'm leaving the challenge right now because I'm not in a place where I can visit Yakezie challengers and members and help promote them and such, and I don't think it's fair to ask people to visit my site to help my stats.

I'm considering starting another blog in another entirely unrelated niche just to see where that takes me. Dunno yet!

Hi y'all --

First, thank you so much for visiting my site in the past. I'm certain Yakezie members and challengers helped my Alexa drop so rapidly. I also appreciate the comments and Tweets and links some of you have done to help boost me along.

I need to bow out of the challenge right now, though. I'm not doing nearly enough to help other Yakezie members and challengers. I'm not doing enough to grow my own blog.

I think right now I want to just scale my blog back rather than try to grow it. It's become a mental drain and in some ways, I think I'm just moving on from the pf niche. After 4.5 years, I've said most of what I need to say, I guess!

I think I will still keep my blog going for awhile (especially since I have advertisers who have purchased ad space for awhile yet).

I just didn't think it would be fair for me to continue to reap the benefits of Yakezie without contributing like I should.

- Kacie
