Thanks but I think this will take more than a push. Have been hoverring around 100k for quite a long time now and it seems that going below this will need change along several ways (including guest posting, submitting to carnivals etc.). I suppose the good news is that we are hoverring around 100k on the very basics - it is like running fifty miles in plimsoles; we need running shoes.

Jefferson, no I have not run out of post ideas but my view on PF is rather broad. Also, I have a very small stack of posts – whenever I tried to schedule far in advance I have lost readers; people seem to know that I am not there.

This leads me to Roshawn's question; what have I learned? Apart from the usual (that can and may be has to be learned through and from other bloggers) I learned that:

1) It is in my interest to support others to become better; this raises standards so I become better. Hence, the Yakezie has got it right – selflessly supporting others is good for them, for ourselves and for the group as a whole.

2) Blogging is another proof that 'good things come to the one's who wait'. Well, not passively wait but stick around, experiment, change and learn. Overnight success takes a lot of time and hard work.

3) I am not convinced that one should agonise long to work out who their audience is. Two reasons: first, being very specific can be restrictive and snooker you in a very tight niche; and second, it is very likely that you are going to end up writing for people like you – otherwise it sounds false. Hence, blogging is also a road to self-discovery and re-invention.

4) There are two kind of blogs – fora and agoras. The fora spean with 'the voice of authority' and the 'agoras' provide a platform for discussion. I want to build an agora.

Learning aside, blogging allowed me to meet many wonderful and interesting people. Thanks again and happy blogging.
