I love Yes, I am Cheap too! I read the Section 8 article in July and grinned at the similarities between the U.S. benefits system and the UK. Based in Scotland there is an inherent belief that it's OK to live on benefits... it's not!  I've been on benefits before and it's soul destroying. Never have I felt as low or worthless in my entire life. I can't fathom why people would remain this way by choice.
