Once again, it's really sad that one company has so much control over the internet. There are so many bloggers who tremble every time Google does something.

but then again in the beginning, some argue anything you can get is good. always leave your responses open ended by encouraging that you will work with their budget, i found this helpful for my niche sites

Do you guys follow or no-follow the banners? I think Google has also cracked down on some sites with image-banners that were not no-followed...

I don't recall a correlation between our Alexa and advertising.  I think advertisers read a LOT of sites and those producing quality get approached.  Those w/ PR also get approached for link love.  We are PR0 and our blog is about 7 months in now.  Our mozRank is good (which is a closer reflection to PR than Alexa).  Our blog income is well beyond our wildest expectations and most of it (less than 5% to date) has been Adsense.

I need to learn a lot it seems. A good writer should be intelligent enough to know money making tricks as well, or why the hell we are writing about money !!!

I don't use Akismet, it's all brain filtering by me. I am frugal even in blogging spent as well :) I went back to trash and found 12 commentson 'Why I failed as blogger' post. Some of them are comments like, 'Its pity you don't show donate button', 'I jumped from my chair after reading this', 'you are greatest' , "you are thinking outside of the box' etc. By any chance yours one of these? :)

Google adsense has nothing to do with Alexa. New websites getting approved is sort of hit/miss. Some site gets approved with just one week worth of post, but most sites they require you to apply only after a few months of blogging and with a good archive. Just reapply after a couple of months they will approve. And don't ever click on your own ads, for testing or formatting or whatever reason. 

I personally waited to hit a number (that I made up myself) before putting ads, but the argument of getting your users used to advertisements from the beginning is also valid.

I applied for ad-sense but within a week they pulled out saying I was a risk to their customers. I guess Google does not entertain people with lower Alexa ranking. Can I get information on when I can re apply for adsense again, probably by creating another google account.

My page visit per day still around 50 guess it's not yet the correct time. any information from your experience would be great

at PR3, I'd charge $40/month with package for 6 and 12 months. if you fill your spots too fast, start charging more ;-)

Congrats on the advertising inquiries. I think a $50 minimum is appropriate.

Mark $50 is good for text based ads, ask more for banners :)
