Last year was a blast, so I wanted to go again this year.

Unfortunately I just concluded my trade-show schedule at work, and there's too much going on for me to make it to Denver. Between late August and Spring 2013, there are 15 shows that I'll coordinate and showcase for work, and most of them are outside of Toronto, including stops in LV, Phoenix, Orlando and Boston. Pretty stoked, but sad at the same time that I won't attend this event.

 

I was able to make time for the CPFC12 happening in Toronto. Actually I was forced (not going to name who) to attend or else.......Anyways, hope to make it next year, and hopefully FINCON13 will be on the east-coast for a change.

I did make the reservation at the conference hotel today, to get the $99 rate.
Although it does take a credit card to make the reservation, they don't
run it until check-in. The 24 hr cancellation makes it worthwhile.
Staying at the conference hotel has so many advantages,
and as any of the Colorado folks can attest, you will have a tough time finding
a rate as good as this in LoDo (Lower Downtown - the hot spot of downtown Denver.)

Overall, I'd say I came home with a renewed sense of inspiration and purpose - I was seriously motivated to do a lot of things differently to market myself and the blog. And once you meet people in person, it completely changes the way you interact when you get back home. 

I don't know how to describe it without seeming completely dorky. I would just say, if you have the means to go, you will NOT regret it!
