If there are problems you will hear the scream within a day. I have only once had a problem with a plugin, I have minimal plugins so I can just disable and enable them in batches to figure out which one is causing the problem. I just disable that and keep an eye on the blog/forum for that plugin. After they update, I enable it again. No plugin is worth the security risk in my opinion (esp. if the upgrade to wordpress is mainly about security patches).

This way, any serious bugs that didn't get picked up in the beta should be fixed (and hopefully, plugins will be upgraded). Anything over a week, and you run the risk of having a security breach.

I had a problem with it one time ever and had to work through FTP to get it back up and running. I took about ten minutes to fix and re-run the upgrade. No loss other than a handful of visits that got a dead page.

I tend to not worry about upgrading plugins but I wasn't sure about Word Press updates.

Has anyone ever had problems updating Word Press? I am just curious for future upgrades. Do you wait a few weeks to let other upgrade first?
