Suba - Since I'm using Amazon, speed is awesome and storage is unlimited.  I simply hosted most of my advertisers images myself, as well as some of their javascript and css.  It really helped out a lot. 

 

I was also surprised by the cost!  It might cost me $1 per month tops!  Right now, after the biggest upload, I'm at $0.08.

MJTM - CDN=Content Delivery Network.  You upload files like your images to a network that has locations all over.  When a visitor comes the closest location delivers the file. On top of that, because another server delivers your files your site loads faster.  You can set up more than just images as well.  [I think that sums it up.]
