"wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager" is a folder location

 

"/var/www/vhosts/superfrugalette.com/httpdocs/wp-content/backup-db" is another folder location.

 

Once you have logged onto the server, navigate to the first folder, and move.htaccess file to the other location.

 

I don't know why it's asking you to do that, but thats the first thing I would try.

I starting activating WP DBManager and this lovely little note popped up your information may be visible to the public. "To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager  to /var/www/vhosts/superfrugalette.com/httpdocs/wp-content/backup-db" Any idea how I would do that?

Sounds like people have had issues w/ the plugins so I don't want to blindly rely on those.

A few months ago those free version plugins couldn't handle the size of our backups anymore. We went to BackUp Buddy which is a great tool.

I had one of those back in Feb, but hostgator(who I use for hosting) keeps backups of your site,a dn updates the backup every sunday. The just restored the site me(free of charge) which should have cost me $15. Which still is a small payment for my brainchild lol . - Gene
