I use Social Media Widget for subscriptions for readers and then I have tweet, stumble etc buttons placed in my CSS. I am not that great at keeping up with the different social sites though- mainly only hit twitter and FB.

I'm absolutely lost when it comes to coding, so changing my css would be a lost cause. I have networked blogs set up to publish right to FB, so that's one thing I don't worry about, but twitter is much easier for me to deal with since I have way more connections there. G+ isn't so bad either, and if most people would get on board, I could see myself dropping FB

I think maybe GetSocial is the one to go with. I prefer the plugin which has the floating link bar so it's readily available no matter where on the page a reader may be. Call me crazy but, I think people would be more willing to share if they had the option right in front of them all the time (or maybe it will just piss them off, who knows!)

I hate the floating bar...it does piss me off actually. But then again many others have much more patience than I do lol.

I also set it to show only on post and don't have any problem.

Did you try making your browser wider? I set it to hide if browser is < 790 px.

Firebug will show the loading time so you can see which button is slowing down the page. Then you remove that button. That's what I do anyway.

Yeah, I'm fine with that stuff. It's just that the vertical positioning is getting screwed up when you scroll through a post. I'm looking for it to stay stationary while the rest of the page scrolls, but it's just not happening.

I'm having a bit of trouble using the Digg Digg plugin when it comes to the floating option. I have it set only to show on the post, and all of my settings are the way I want them, but I can't get the stupid bar to stay still while scrolling. I checked over at the developer's page, and all he tells people is to use firebug to optimize the settings...like everyone knows what the heck he means by that (I certainly don't). Anyone have any ideas?
