So you know, I started a new Facebook account and then a fan page. I got 25 "likes" and went to add a username and it attributed the username to my personal account, NOT the page I had created (when I did it the setup was super confusing). If this happens to you there is a way to fix it. I googled the problem and was directed to Facebook Legal and they fixed it through admin, it was crazy.

Facebook fan pages are so confusing- it seem so simple in concept but setting them up properly was nightmareish since it's linked to your personal account and you switch back and forth (and posting AS your fan page can sometimes be difficult, if you're "posting as page" if you surf a blog later you can't just like them using a widget on their blog, so annoying!)

Keep your personal profile, but start a page for your blog as well (you will have to name it /buckinspire2 or something). I can't imagine that most of your readers will want to become friends with you on fb, but they would be willing to like your page. Plus, you can get other features and integrations with a page that you can't get with a profile - including analytics/insights.

You can promote the page on your site and also with your current profile.

Yes, it will. I would keep your current page, since it has a ton of friends already. If you delete it, and start a fan page, you would start from scratch.

Buck. You can convert your FB personal page to a fan page using a one time only process. If you google it you will find it. I did it and it worked seemlessly.

Buck - your FB profile is set up as a personal profile and not a fan page. You can use the link Robert posted to set a username, but right now it's not a page that people can "like". Whether that matters is up to you; just thought I'd point that out.
