It's unfortunate that it works out this way. I've seen a lot of issues with Chrome (social plugins not showing up, formatting different). At the very least I'd say just just to format for the majority of visitors (seems like you're already on top of that). I'm not an expert in this, but it seems like others are suggesting you can find help, too.

Because of this type of issues I check my sites regularly in all different browsers to check that it is OK.

20% visitors from IE seems a little low since IE has a much higher market share I believe.

It will be interesting to see if you get more IE visits after you fixed the problem. Success.

Thanks everyone.

I'd be willing to pay someone to fix this (if anyone who knows how is reading, hit me up).

It is weird that it only seems to happen on the homepage, but when you click through to a post it seems ok.

I just checked it with IE8 on windows xp and it only showed me the rss feed. Not sure if you are currently working on that or if you hired someone. Cross browser compatibility issues are a hassle to deal with. I agree that you probably need to set dimensions for everything to make it all line up nicely. If you can't fix it yourself, you should probably hire someone to help you. It is easy enough to find people to fix stuff like this for $20. Some of that 20% could be potential advertisers or people who would actually want to follow your blog. So fix it as soon as you can.

So I discovered that my site does not display properly in Internet Explorer (it looks horrible). I think it's ok in Firefox and Chrome (I'm going to run Browsershots when I get home from work to double check).

My only saving grace is that only 20% of my visitors use IE, but that is still way too high for me to be comfortable.

IE is pushing my page content (the middle column) all the way down at least a screen height. Also, some of the graphics are sized funny (the Consumerist graphic for one). IE did prompt me to switch to a compatibility mode which claims to fix display issues, but it's not helping very much.

Probably a silly (but hopeful) question, but does anyone know of any easy fixes (plugins, maybe?). I really like my theme and am not interested in changing it again, but the way IE is displaying it is not acceptable at all. I'm not much of a CSS techie, so that's why I'd appreciate any help.

If you check out the site on your browser and report back, let me know what browser you are running.

Thanks in advance (and yes, I did search Yakezie Forums to see if there was a thread to help me)
