Thanks for mentioning this plug-in. I was having problems with a different one, I could back up some features but not all.

You can use a plugin to manage it http://austinmatzko.com/wordpr.....db-backup/ or you can go for a paid service. I have had vault-press recommended to me before. I tend to back up daily, I think that is going a bit overboard, but once if you set it up to run properly then it should take care of itself and I don't want to lose any posts or comments
