Centering the images is on our (very long) to-do list. I appreciate the feedback – I'd never heard anyone mention related images as clutter before. Thanks for checking it out for me!

I also use YARPP at the end of my posts, but we do have it customized to display images. I'd love your thoughts on how you think it  looks, based on what you've said about clutter. We take great care to keep our site streamlined with a professional look. Can you take a look at a recent post and let me know what you think of the related post images?

That is fairly clean. I think it will look even better if you can space out the images a bit to fill up the space, or get rid of the black space on the right hand side and center the entire block.
 

Or centering the 4 images within the center of the black space but with no extra spacing (or maybe a bit) is a third option...

That's an interesting way of embedding the links within the post instead of at the end. I will try these plugins out in conjunction with my "YARPP" plugin. Thanks!

At the end of my posts I use Link Within and Efficient Related Posts. Not sure which one I like better yet.

I use Automatic SEO Links for this as well as Insights. The SEO plugin allows you to setup specific keywords & urls and will automatically (hence, the name!) link the anchor text anytime it appears on your site. I find this works best with keyword phrases - I have issues with it trying to link within a link now & then, when I attempt to use it for a single word.

For example, anytime a writer on Inexpensively uses the phrase coupon code, it automatically links to our coupon codes page, but when I had it setup to link the word coupons to our coupon list, I found it would process oddly if someone linked to Coupons.com.

The Insights plugin is used on each post, as you are writing. You can search for keywords on your blog, the web or Flickr to add past posts, reference links or photos to your post. I used to use Zemanta, but they disabled functionality in html mode so it was useless to me.

Now I use wp-thumbie, it is built on top of contextual related post plugin. Contextual related post plugin doesn't show thumbnail images well, so wp-thumbie use that to figure out related post and them uses a different library to display the images. As you don't have images the Contextual related post plugin will work fine for you. I use it in another blog of mine, it shows the related posts as an unordered list. As far as I know it uses title (top priority), category and tags.

To actually search for links within my blog I use the Insights plugin. It can find links outside your blog too, like wikipedia links. I like it, but I always forget to use it :) .

I was wondering if anyone used a plugin (for Wordpress) that automatically creates links within your own site, based on tags and such. 

For instance, say I wrote a post  on budgeting.  From what I understand, there are plug ins out there that will link to other posts you have written on budgeting automatically, within the post. 

If anyone has used a plugin for this purpose, was it worthwhile?  Is there a plug in you recommend?
