Most of the images I post are drawings and graphics that I either made or found on some creative commons site. I show a lot of graphs as well which I make using Google spreadsheets. If it's a chart or graphic I grab from online then I change it a bit to fit the theme of my blog.

That's interesting. Thank you for the feedback.

P.S. Posts like this that are asking opinions would probably be better suited for the Blogger's Liar board. I think Help Desk is more for questions on how to do something.

I believe he means blogger's lair but a blogger's liar board might be a great place to post personal photos of other people. On that note, 99% of the time I use my own photos. The other 1% I manipulate them to make them fall in the other 99%.

On my food blog, I obviously use my own photos. For my other blog, I tend to use public domain and CC images. I think the general consensus is that it doesn't really matter what kind of image you insert into your post, as long it relates to the content somehow, just put something there.

Hope this helps.

OK. I'll keep that in mind the next time I ask for opinions. Thanks again.

I'd like to ask for everyone's opinion about posting pictures with blog posts. Is it better to post public domain online photos, or design your own graphics and post them instead? I read that posting graphics is better, but I like posting photos. What do you think?
