I didn't really bother to try to get them back, because as Eric said, I don't think it's worth the effort.

It doesn't give your readers much value to know how many times something was shared (though I admit it does make people a little more excited to share). It will work on everything go forward, so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

The 301 redirects were set properly and everything's working fine except that I lost the social sharing counts for all my posts that were published before the switch. I'm just now getting around to looking at this and having trouble finding a solution. I use shareaholic for sharing. The best resource I could find is here: http://encosia.com/preserving-.....url-change, but I either implemented it incorrectly or it didn't work.

 

Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for the help.
