Even if you moved to a self hosted blog I think you can do a 301 redirect to protect your page rank and keep all the ranks intact. Again I am sure you can protect the page rank , not sure about the Alexa Rank. From a pure SEO perspective you can keep all the link juice intact if you do a 301 redirect from the old blog to the new self hosted one. 

 

Google 301 redirect and I am sure you will get all the answers.

Yeah, I am so excited when I checked my ranking today it was less than 300,000. I think you are right Andrea about it coming down quickly and it does seem that my traffic has increased almost double.

It hopefully won't take too long. Looking at Google Analytics, it looks like my visitor/page views have increased. 

One of my DIY crafts was featured on craftgawker, that is the source of my increase and Yakezie is helping out too.
