But just in case someone else has a similar problem here is the solution.

This is for DreamHost customers. I am sure it is very similar with another host but that is who I am with.

Choose to use www. or not

1. Login in to your dreamhost panel.

2. On the left click Manage Domains

3. You will now be looking at a table with all your listed domains. Under the web hosting column click 'edit' for whichever domain you are having the problem with.

4. Find the title 'Do you want the www in your URL'. Select the appropriate option for your needs. In my case it was to have http://www.mycanadianfinances.com redirect to mycanadianfinances.com

5. Click save, wait 5-10 minutes and try to website again.

6. If problem persists contact dreamhost support so they can manually set-up the redirect for you.

 

Hope this will help at least one person out.

However, when I type in http://www.mycanadianfinances.com it brings me to a page with the links to all my posts?

 

Can someone else try this and see if you have the same problem. Also if you do, do you know any ways to fix it?
