I had an experience about a year ago where an old, unused Hotmail account had a bunch of outbound spam sent to my contact list, which was still populated from people I used before I switched the carrier.  The password was strong and my computers were kept up, but I figured that I'd change the password, which was easy, then figured I'd just cancel the account, since I hadn't used it in years. 

Easy enough, right?

No.

Microsoft wouldn't 'let' me.  It said I had previously subscribed to a connected service and needed to remove that account first.  Except the link that it sent me to check showed I had no subscriptions.  E-mails sent to support, they couldn't find anything.  But still can't delete the account.

So, I'm leery of having Microsoft's hooks in anything to do with my blog.

]]> Thu, 19 Jul 2012 11:08:14 +0000 MoneyBeagle on Wordpress Session Time / Cookie Expiration https://yakezie.com/forums/help-desk/wordpress-session-time-cookie-expiration/#p81327 Help Desk https://yakezie.com/forums/help-desk/wordpress-session-time-cookie-expiration/#p81327 Does anybody know what the timeout period is for after you log into Wordpress before it logs you out?  Also, is there a plugin or setting where it can warn you before it automatically logs you out?  A couple of times, I'll be sailing along, start a new post, write the whole thing, and when I hit Publish (or Schedule) it takes me to my login page, meaning that my session must have expired.  There's always a draft there but it will literally cut out mid-way through a sentence.  If I'm lucky, like today, it will have occurred later in the writing of the post, but I've had it where it didn't make it through 30 words of a 500 word post.  Very annoying.

Any help here would be appreciated.  Thanks!
