That's good to know. I just noticed that certain sites like PF Buzz, and many blog carnivals will ask for it. There are a couple of times when I'm not notified that someone linked to my article, so I though a lack of a trackback URL was the reason.

I guess it's not a big deal to have it.

I agree with Paul. You get better Google juice if your post is linked to directly. Pingbacks make trackbacks outdated for the most post.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't seen any problems with people not using trackback URLs for my posts. With pingbacks it seems like WordPress is automatically notified on my end. I also suspect it might be better for SEO if people don't link to your articles using trackback URLs.

Sorry it's not an answer to your question, but I'm not sure it's even worth worrying about in my opinion.

Hello Yakezie!

Is there an easy way to display the Trackback URL for my articles under each post? I saw that this is a part of Disqus, but I don't use that. My theme is Thesis 1.7. If there isn't an easy way to display it, is there an easy way for me to find it in the WordPress dashboard?
