I admit I'm a freak. I really ENJOY jury duty. I've served on several juries. Most of them have been civil and a couple for criminal cases. Never for a murder case, though. That would be interesting.

It's funny because I wouldn't mind being summoned more often...instead, my wife's name is selected twice as much as mine. She is NOT a fan of jury duty.

There's always a lot of sitting & waiting, but I use those few days to do some reading.

I've sat through the selection process quite a few times, but have never been selected. Here we're allowed pretty much whatever we want while waiting, and they have vending machines and choices of multiple movies & regular TV show set up -- similar to how gyms do.

I was summoned once, but it was after I moved out of the state. I think I would have a hard time serving on a jury because I don't believe I have the capacity to make a decision based on the information presented. Also, since I work in a law office I hear about a lot of cases and that would void me from most panels.

I did it in the UK, pretty easy really, got paid my normal wage, ate reasonable food from the canteen and then ended up stuck in a lock down for 15 hours or something because we couldn't agree on the verdict.... I always found it funny that in a jury situation the fact that everyone has to agree is essentially a form of Anarchy!

We were not, we had to leave our phones in our cars because they are not allowed inside the court house.

I have never been summoned, but always thought it would be cool once. I work as an investigator and would love to see the court side of things.

I was on jury duty and I served, I was there for three days. It was really interesting but I actually was hoping to not be picked. The only part that sucks is your peers on the jury, there is a lot of interesting people out there that do not see the obvious. We had to go back and forth for a couple of hours to convince a juror of the facts that the other 11 already knew.

I did jury duty and when they asked me if I was biased I said yes who isn't. They said thank you Mr. Catalano you may go now. Telling the truth doesn't get you on a jury.

I've been called twice. The first time was right after I had moved out of state so I couldn't do that one. The second time I was put in a pool of jurors but all we had to do was call to see if we had been picked for the smaller pool and I wasn't picked. I wouldn't mind doing jury duty if I were picked though.

My grandfather got selected once. He talked a lot about it shortly after the experience, but that was at least 15 years ago, so I don't remember it too well.

There was a period in my childhood when my mother would get a jury notice every year. But it was for the neighboring county instead of ours, , so she would just call and she's be removed from the list... until the next year.

Got the letter twice. Asked for deferral for being a college student.

I think it'd be really fun - like really, really fun. But you really do have to sacrifice a lot, potentially for a very long time. Realistically, it'd be hard to afford life on jury duty. I think the going rate is less than $50 a day or something here.

Just once, murder and assault... would prefer not to go through that again, haha! I also got called after an address change once, but I was able to avoid that one, heh.
