Depending on what you are looking for, VAs can be easy to find for pretty cheap. There are some things that would definitely be better to use a native English speaker, but most tasks can be handled by email, and they just need solid comprehension and communication skills. The trick with any VA is to give them a small, non-mission-critical job to test them before you commit to anything expensive or vital.

Seriously though, I will blog whether it makes me money or not…I just put more time into the extra stuff (like 20 plus hours a week on these forums) since I'm trying to make it into a full time job. I cannot think of a job in the world that would make me happier. Even if we won the lottery tomorrow, I'd probably start a travel blog, lol. It's just so much fun!

Blogging currently makes me a better investor. I do much better research and I learn tones from readers and other bloggers. I jumped into blogging without knowing much about it (I am still on blogger but moving to word press soon). It had been 2 years our company was doing layoff and I wanted to have something on the side to learn and be entrepreneurial with.

I can see myself blogging for the long term, but I would eventually turn what I do into a service of sort and provide products / software for mobile phone.

I have kind of lived my ideal 'future state' in the past. I was home with the kids and blogging on the side. (Kids are in school allows plenty of time for writing.) I recently went back to work part time and exclusively from home, and I just view that job as money in the bank, not a career by any means. I am a contractor, so my part time job may be done in December. Whatever, I don't really care.

I would love if my writing would provide a large income, and I plan on building my blog as much as I can for when my contract is up. What would be great is if 10 years down the road, my husband could retire and we could both write from anywhere in the world we wanted. (We could be vagabonds!)

Been there, done that.

Seemed nice at the time and have a lot of great memories, but I so wasn't cut out for 7 till 7 child minding, cooking, cleaning, washing etc etc. It turns out its not all playing catch in the back yard. I love my kids, don't get me wrong, but they can be a complete pain in the ass . I actually find working a lot more satisfying (maybe I'm more like Mrs SPF). That allows me to come home and spend some proper, real, quality time with time in the evenings, before work and on weekends. Because we have 2 incomes, it also means we can do things like take month long trips to Europe, go skiiing and have a nice house.

So my dream - just to blog and see what happens. If it makes some cash - great. If not, no bother.

Ugh. I love my kids, but I'm a lousy house-husband. :) I've been home with the kids for the last week due to daycare issues, and the housework really doesn't seem willing to do itself, but I keep trying.

I'd love to roll my side-hustles into fulltime work and quit my day job, but, if I do, the kids will still go to daycare and it will still be work.

Ideal future state is financial independence. This probably means low debt and decent side income. It doesn't mean I would just stop working and go lounge on a beach, but if I wanted to, I wouldn't have to worry too much about the bills. It would also make it easier to focus more on online income and things like that!
