So Over Debt, I just visited your site to help boost your Alexa ranking. I wouldn't worry too much... in the early stages the numbers drop fast. It shouldn't take you long to get back to where you were. And all in all, getting the domain name was a smart decision for your blog's strength.

I had the same problem. If you go into the Alexa help system, you can request to have two sites combined into one ranking. They are still working on getting mine all working, but have told me that both the forwarded domain and host domain will reflect the same rank when they are done.

P.S. I'm under a million today too!! Right around 900,000... Pretty awesome after just a couple of weeks with the Yakezie Network. Thanks everyone!

I think that since you just went to a new domain name, you'll have to start over with Alexa. But I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Nice move buying the domain space! It is well worth the $10 expense per year. I went through the blogspot --> domain name transition last year. It really is quite easy and seamless in that blogger takes care of everything for you. It will still redirect traffic to your new domain.

However, it does take about a week or two for it to get totally completely. In the meantime, just keep rockin' the blogspot.com!

Thanks for the advice! I just registered the domain name; now I'm just dealing with the headache of getting Blogger and the domain to play nice. Will probably take awhile to get it together, but I think it's a good idea in the long run.

Thanks for the advice! I just registered the domain name; now I'm just dealing with the headache of getting Blogger and the domain to play nice. Will probably take awhile to get it together, but I think it's a good idea in the long run.

I just checked my ranking and was amazed to see that it had fallen to almost 1 Million from over 2 Million a week ago! Amazing results in just a week, thanks to everyone who visited my site! The support here has been outstanding.

Thanks to all for the encouragement. It's so exciting (and a little weird) to think that people actually read all the crap I write about. I can't wait to see what month #2 brings!
