Last week my Google analytics were working fine, this week..... 0.  Nada.  It is perplexing to say the least.  I have not made changes to my blog.... so I don't know what is going on

Lisa, you are not alone.  I ran across this problem a couple days ago while purusing the Blogger help forum trying to solve an unrelated problem.  I have not read about it in details, but you might find this link helpful and/or informative. 

Analytics. A lot of big brand ad buyers usually ask for a Google Analytics report.

How does one produce this type of report?

Thanks for the thoughtful reply.  Great points and will keep them in mind.  No big advertiser yet, but good to be prepared.  Wouldn't want to be caught using an overly inflated number from my website stats when everyone around me is using Analytics.

Definitely highlight things that you think to be attractive too.  A low bounce rate, for example, indicates that readers are highly involved.  Google traffic for your blog name shows that you have a loyal crew, as does the "time on site," which can be a great indicator that people are actually reading what you have to say.  If none of these numbers really pop, though, then don't include them.  If they do, then work them to your advantage!

Consider working in a little bit that is customized for the advertiser.  For example, it's a mutual fund company that wants to advertise, pop in a link to your "stock talk" category page, or even a tag page.  That way you can show them your posts on the topic.  They'll appreciate anything you can throw at them that makes their life easier.  And hey…since these are the days of "social" online, why not have a stupid stat like: "Hours spent watching movies this year."  It doesn't do much in terms of quantifying the quality of your site, but it does show that you're human.  It's nice to know that there are humans on the other side of the computer screen. :D  Your personality doesn't stop at the blog itself.
