It will probably be awhile - I have a ton of projects on my list for 2013, plus I have to get over that paralyzing fear of my southern accent on video. :D We may be old and gray before I ever finish a single video! I really need to play with GarageBand more... I've used it, but mostly only for clipping ringtones from my mp3s. It amazes me how there's always so much to learn!

I use both.

Camtasia and Screenflow are very similar.  I bought Camtasia for Mac and like it.  From what I've seen seen it's 50/50 on people who prefer Camtasia vs. Screenflow. 

 

There's a free version called CamStudio.  I've never used it but it might be worth checking out.

I'm going to be doing a series of videos (mostly screencasts) for one of my upcoming projects. I ordered a Blue Snowball mic and a pop filter, and I have iMovie, Garage Band, and Adobe After Effects for editing. Anything else I desperately need before I do video? What do you guys use?

I'd also love recs for screencasting software for Mac if anyone is using a particular program - I know Screenflow is the most highly touted but I really hate to spend $100 on it if there's another option.
