Everyone, I need some help.

I just checked my site http://retireby40.org

and all I see is this text.

hacked by Mr_AnarShi-T

I can still sign in and see all my posts so it looks like he did something to the home page.

Does anyone have a tip on how to fix this?

My hosting is Just Host. I'll write them an email and see what they say…

Thanks. It's way too late to be dealing with this…

Hey Joe,

I see the hacked message, too.  Sorry don't know of a fix.  Do you have clean backups?  Good luck patching this up.

God, I hate hackers.   Check your cPanel to see if there is an .htacess file and see if changes were made to that.  Also, check your index.html file as well.  I hate people with time on their hands for bullshit.

Here is a great resource.  I had a hacker intrusion on an ecommerce site about a month ago which I shut down.

Just Host fixed my site! They responded and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. I'm quite impress with the quality of service. Thanks guys for your help. I'll read the FAQ tomorrow, gotta go to bed.

They just defaced your theme "mantra" (this file):

./wp-content/themes/mantra/

index.php

I have only just repaired it from backup.
Please make sure your WordPress and its components are secure enough (you may need to update them if possible).

Joe, sorry to hear this.  If you use the same password elsewhere (email, FB etc.), change it right away.

Glad to see you got it fixed so quickly.  It's scary that there are so many people out there who would want to target a blogger for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the moral support everyone. I don't know why hackers would target small sites. Jeez, go hack BofA or something. I changed my passwords and will go over the security tips this evening.

It's not like I'm not busy enough already!

I would have started crying if I saw that!

I googled the Anarsh message and it is strange.  It appears you are not the only one.  I wonder if it is random and automated somehow?

Nasty people out there hacking for the thrill of it, this really ticks me off!  Glad your hosting company was able to help you out so fast!

This is one reason I plan to never accept credit card payments directly on a site.

Woah that is so weird. It's definitely good to know your hosting provider was able to fix things up for you right away. I would change ALL your passwords related to that hosting even if they weren't the same.
