How can we systematically help each other with Google +1's and Google+?

As far as I understand, it helps your pages more and more in the Google search rankings when they get more +1's and get more shared on Google+. Google has direct access to all this information and will use it.

Yakezie is great for helping each other to boost the Alexa ranking. How could we help each other systematically with +1's and Google+ sharing? Every +1 of  new user for your site is valuable. Every new +1 for a new page of an user who has +1'd your site before is valuable. And any additional blog post that is shared by any user on Google+ also contributes.

Without boring our Google+ circles to dead by sharing everything from everyone, what are your thoughts about how we can support each other with +1/Google+? Is this maybe something to only address within a team? Or should we encourage that when you visit a site of another Yakezie member that you always see if you want to +1  a page that you like and/or share it on your Google+ (I use the shareaholic plug-in for Chrome to share quickly a page on Google+)?

Is this something that Yakezie members and challengers can help each other with? What are your ideas and thoughts on this?

I'm not sure what the answer is, but definitely count me in when you come up with it. I love promoting posts on Google+ and +1 other's posts as well. We did address this at the very beginning of my last group's formation. It is definitely something that the group would be well positioned to do easily, but it would be great to have a wider, systematic way to give each other +1.

It's been done in the past, but we can do another round–everyone going into each others' home pages and +1ing the main site, or simply doing a google search for the site home url and doing it through there.  What I have noticed about this though is that the numbers seem to be different depending on which way you do it and I wonder if the is a disconnect between the widget and google search in light of it.

Also, as I hit people's sites, when I read posts, I will +1 it given that they have the button, and also as I check my G+ streams I'll also +1 everyone's' posts through the interface if it isn't already marked as such.

I've also been noticing the google social media and the importance of it.  I'm sure Google takes this into account in their algorithm as well….

I think we should do it more organically. I think in time we will all be getting +1 just because of content.

We just all need to get into the habit of using the +1, I hit the tweet button without even thinking, but have to remember to do a +1.

i installed the G+ button from google website. they have it for us to use. i think everyone should have the button available on their homepages, instead of just each post. I think whether it's clicked for each post or homepage, it doesn't matter. I think only the root domain counts. maybe i'm wrong.

Do you mean manage the use of +1s?  Or how to easily get them from your site?

I am a member of a google group set up by Ashley @ Money Talks Coaching.  She set up a Stumbleupon group.  When you put up a new post you email stumbleupongroup@googlegroup.com and ask for a Stumble.  The email is sent to all members of the group who go to your site and give you a Stumble.  I'm sure this can be done with +1's also if someone is willing to set it up.  Then you can start a new thread on Yakezie announcing the group and I'm sure many will sign up.

I've been hitting the +1 whenever I tweet. Everyone should get into the habit of doing that.

This is only going to get more important to google rankings as it becomes more standard to see a google+ on websites.  So whatever we can do to help each other, I'm all for it.  Jai has a good point about focusing on the organic side of it.  While we might be able to artificially help each other to some degree, google is likely to combat that by looking for unnatural patterns.  Or maybe they would discount each + when a user is excessively +ing everything or too much from 1 site.  They don't want to put too much power in an individual.

I've got a great starting idea… why not go to each one's site who have commented here and do the +1 Surprised  This would be a great start for each of us!

I think this is a great idea, definitely count me in if it becomes something formal. For now I'll just focus on remembering to +1 everyone when I'm reading Smile
