I love all of these ideas! I am anxiously awaiting contact from advertisers, and hope to hear something soon, since my Alexa rank continues to go down. I like the ideas of asking the guest posters to advertise. I'm definitely going to try this!

Jack Reed wanted to guest post on the Kitchen Sink. I told him that his link is a business link and he will have to pay for advertising his business. He refused, and we parted our ways. Actually he was nice, so no hurt feelings from both sides.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it. Getting links to your site will help, but only once Google updates PR. Since it's been months since the last update, I wouldn't hold my breath. Maybe Google will do something at the beginning of 2011.

With that much traffic though, I would really try to pimp out my AdSense potential. I didn't see any ads on your homepage, and I was actively looking for them so there's no way visitors are seeing them if I happened to just miss them. Throw up a 300x250 ad block above/below your sidebar for a week and see what happens.  

If you're cool with it, would you mind throwing out how much you're earning from the ads you have on individual post pages? Not click through rates or anything, just the dollar amount per day/month.

Ah, PR, that makes sense. Hopefully I won't get stuck at 0 forever. But this, I can do nothing about, so that is ok.

I put up adsense only 10 days ago, I had them for a week when my blog was 2 months old, didn't earn more than pennies, so I waited for the traffic to pick up and then put them up. I will add some sidebar blocks. I read in various threads/blogs that the ugly block below the title earns the most and the less ads the more probability to click on ads. Thats my rational for having just that one block of ad.

Nope, I don't mind sharing. In the last 10 days I have earned 76.52$, any where from 6-9$ per day. Thanks guys, I will experiment with a few more ad blocks.
