In the past 7-8 months of blogging or so, I've gotten a ton of "guest post" requests from various "bloggers" that were actually marketing companies in disguise. I've ended up rejecting most of these guest posts; I even wrote about one of these guys back in the day after I felt that they were trying to pull a fast one on me. Although there have been a few good ones along the way that I've published, these emails mostly get auto-archived these days.

I just realized that although I've gotten plenty of these "guest post" requests, I haven't gotten many requests from fellow bloggers looking to publish on my site. I don't know if that's because my post scared them away. Wink I just want you guys to know that I do accept guest posts, and I would be more than glad to help you promote your blog, even if you just joined the Yakezie yesterday. For a fellow Yakezier, the only real requirement I have is that you write something that you would publish on your own site. Smile

I hope I haven't been scaring you guys away or anything, haha. Please don't hesitate to contact me, and for a fellow Yakezier I would be more than glad to promote.

I know I've always felt welcome!  With 3 sites of my own, I just only guest post lately when people need help for a vacation or whatnot.  Let me know if you ever do need an extra hand, and I'll definitely write something up!

Thanks for the offer! :) I just wanted to be sure nobody was actually being scared away! Unfortunately I won't be going on any vacations this year so I probably won't need the posts, but I am more than welcoming to them.

Do you mean that you are not taking vacations for the rest of 2010 or are you referring to 2011 as well?!  I literally think of upcoming vacations as a way to make myself go to work, lol.  I wouldn't survive if we didn't take one at least twice a year.  :-)

Definitely not for the rest of 2010 other than a bit of a Christmas break! As for 2011, well, I hope I can go somewhere sometime during the year! We both have a lot of schooling and expenses to look forward to, but I do love to travel and explore new places so I think we have to make some time for this. I think it will be more of a backpacker's style vacation, but you know, I actually kind of like those types of vacations. We were thinking of South America…

That's sounds great!  We take one "real" vacation every summer (a cruise or a trip to Las Vegas usually) but all of the other vacations I referred to are little side trips like driving to San Antonio for a 3 day weekend or things like that.  Next year, we will be going to Dallas for a long weekend for a Curling Bonspiel (tournament) that my husband will be participating in.  I am a Curling groupee.  :-)

Nice! That's true, where you live I imagine there are so many different things to see within only a few hours drive. The last thing we did was a getaway to a bed & breakfast and a spa for our six year anniversary. The bed and breakfast was on the top of a hill with a really nice view, and since it snowed over the weekend the views were gorgeous. The spa was very interesting as it was outdoors, so we dashed from hot tub to hot tub amidst the falling snow. Other than that though it was very relaxing… I agree with you, it's important to do even these small getaways every now and then…
